If you could time travel, what year would you pick and why? Would you go back to the beginning of the universe? Maybe discover the world of the Stone Age?
I know I would have a tough time picking one specific year. There are many intriguing times and exciting places; it would be difficult to decide where to go. That said, I’ve always been intrigued by the Minoans. We were fortunate to visit Crete and the palace at Knossos in 2002. Walking around the site and imagining the bull jumping and wandering the labyrinth of halls was one of the most enjoyable days of our trip. Trying to pick one year among their civilization would be tough, though.
It has always amazed me that it took until the Roman era to recreate the Minoans’ running water and indoor plumbing. They were truly revolutionary, especially considering their civilization dated from 3500 to 1100 BCE.
